Scholarship
One of the major benefits of being involved with Kappa is the breadth of knowledge, advice, and encouragement our members provide each other. Whether you have a question about a class or just need someone to study with, you're sure to find the answer amongst one of your sisters.
Scholastic achievement is paramount to developing a well rounded Kappa. Each member is held to the same high standards of maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher upon high school graduation, and a 2.5 GPA throughout college. To support the intellectual development and needs of our members, many scholarship grants are awarded annually through the generous annual gifts of members and our alumnae associations as well as from individually endowed scholarship funds.

Beta Omicron Chapter strives to provide the best academic resources for its members. Some of these amenities include:
  • Kappa House open to Greeks and non-Greeks
  • Tutoring in all major subjects, provided by the Scholarship Committee
  • Computer and Internet access
  • Study skills and stress management workshop
  • Test files (old tests to use for studying)
  • Voluntary mentoring for girls in same majors (one older member and one younger member)
  • Scholarships from the New Orleans Alumnae Association and the National Kappa Kappa Gamma Organization
  • Recognition at Chapter Meeting for individuals who earn a 4.0 each semester
  • Fully stocked house with snacks and energy drinks during finals week
If you are an active member and would like to apply for the scholarships or need advice on completing an application, please visit our fraternity headquarters at www.kkg.org.
